IGS Team goes to EDM-Nashville
The 2004 Eaton Distributor Meeting was celebrated from last September 27 to the 29 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee. Industrial Global Sales showed up for the meeting together with a complete team of its international distributors and representatives, who traveled to Nashville from all over the world.

It was an excellent opportunity for all participants to learn about all the new products and programs from Eaton Hydraulics. Some of the IGS distributors who attended the show were Boston and/or Weatherhead Distributors back in the Dana days, so for IGS and its invitees, it was the perfect opportunity to find out more about Eaton, as well as to participate in Boston, Weatherhead and Everflex product specific workshops. Meeting highlights included, among others: a keynote address from Eatonís CEO, Sandy Cutler, who gave an overview of Eaton operations and finances, along with addressing the vital role of Distributors in Eatonís global operations. Also, a hilarious presentation by renowned speaker Frank Miles left powerful messages in the audience and 81 workshops to choose from accompanied by a complete tradeshow provided value information to all attendees.

Last, but not least important, was the dinner celebration offered by Industrial Global Sales to its customers during the event. It was a wonderful evening with lots of opportunities for all of us to interact, not only with distributors from other countries, but also with key executives from Eaton, who kindly joined us that night.

Eaton acknowledged the interest and efforts of our international distributors who took the time out of their busy schedules to attend the EDM by agreeing to provide free tuition for future training in Boston or Weatherhead products at their Maumee, OH facility. Eaton will even pay for lodging costs for the first five companies to sign up for these training sessions.

Once the event was over, some of our customers accepted our invitation to visit us in Sunrise, where they had the opportunity to meet some of the special people that work in HSC and IGS, while at the same time learning about our operations. Visits were also organized to the Aero Hardware operations in Miami, along with Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Pompano retail stores. Needless to say, everybody was impressed by our facilities and processes, and went back home excited to know they are working with an organization like HSC/IGS.
